After the earthquake, I was worried about the sefety of my parents who lived in the adjacent ward but I could not get through to them on the phone. I decided to get on my motorbike to go to help them. When I was riding through the Motomachi Arcade,the bicycle that was in front of me suddenly fell over, so I braked to try and avoid running into it. I also slipped and fell over, injuring myself.
The cause of the accident was the large transformer located on top of the telephone pole having fallen down bacause of the tremors and the insulation oil inside this having spilled all over the place. I realized that you can never tell what has happened because of an earthquake so you have to be careful when riding a motorbike.

Soon after the earthquake,the road leading to the Higashinada Primary School,our lacal evacuation center, was impassable on foot because of the fallen telephone poles.Ithink telephone cables should be buried underground from now on, in view of potential natural disasters.

Fire Deperment Advice
There will be various objects fallen onto the road-oil,glass metal and other things that can easily cause accidents. One unfortunate accident because a motorcyclist got his neck trapped by a telephone cable and fell off his motorbike.
Also,roads will have numerous cracks and humps.Especially,unevenness thet has occurred diagonally along the road needs special care.The tire will sink in and almost always cause the vehicle to fall over.Look carefully at the road surface and take cracks and humps at right angles.
Piease take extreme good care when driving on a motorcycle after an earthquake.
